CRM Apps Lab™ Lead Field Mapper

If the Account Source is already set for an existing account, we don't touch it! Otherwise, this app provides a simple way to map Lead Source to Account Source when a lead is converted.

Use profile permissions or a permission set to ensure that that users have the following permissions

• READ the Lead object
• READ the Lead Source, Birthdate & Department (custom) fields on Lead
• UPDATE the Account object
• UPDATE the Account Source field on Account
• UPDATE the Contact object
• UPDATE the Birthdate and Department (standard) fields on Contact

Unlike the standard lead conversion, to comply with app security architecture, the user must have permissions to read and update fields as above - otherwise the app will not update the field.

The app starts working from the moment it's installed!
