Salesforce Connect Validator

Use the Salesforce Connect Validator to expose potential problems before your users or code interact with new or modified external objects.

WARNING: To prevent unwanted data loss or creation, run the insert/delete queries only against non-production external systems. If you must run them against production systems, first resolve issues exposed by your non-production systems.

After installation, the tool is available on the Validator tab. If you don’t see the Validator tab in Salesforce Classic, create the tab as follows: 1. From Setup, enter “Tabs” in the Quick Find box, and select “Tabs.” 2. In the Visualforce Tabs related list, click “New.” 3. Select the PostSyncFirstPage Visualforce page.

To create your own queries for the tool to run: 1. Create a custom category class that extends the Category class. 2. Create your queries in the custom category class. 3. Create an instance of the custom category class in the CategoryList class. 4. Add the new class to the list.
