Lightning Email on Task

• Get an email when you’re assigned a task.*

In Classic there was an option to send an email notification to a user when assigned a task. This is not available in Lightning—until now!

With this app you can

• create an email template for tasks
• automatically send the templated email on assignment of a task
• include important task information and a link to the task in the email

Installation and Setup: After installing, be sure that the trigger "EmailOnTask" is active.

You can modify the included "Email on Task" email template as you like. Setup > Quick Find > Classic Email Templates

If you'd like to use a different template or a pre-existing one, you can add the template's api name as a custom metadata record of "Task Email Templates". Setup > Quick Find > Custom Metadata Types > click Manage Records on Task Email Template.
