Excel Upload

Use this component when you need to extract/parse values from an Excel File. It has been used mainly in approval processes, where users submit a complex Excel sheet as attachment to the to be approved record and certain header or otherwise important values should be taken over from that Excel Sheet.

Cells are specified in Excel format 'A1' or 'SheetName!A1' (without quotes). The component requires to use absolute addressing. If you need to extract a value that may move around in the Excel Sheet (e.g., a column sum that moves done when rows are added), the best solution is to add a new sheet (e.g., 'SalesforceUpload') und use relative addressing in Excel to put the value into a fixed cell (e.g., 'A1') on this sheet.

Limitations: The component currently only maps cells to the current record, it cannot create/update child records of a related list or update fields in parent records. It is limited to 10 cells / record fields.
