VizVault is a Salesforce-native unified BI connector that embeds external business intelligence platforms directly into Salesforce. The application currently supports Tableau and Microsoft Power BI, enabling users to manage report access and securely view dashboards within a responsive Salesforce Lightning interface. VizVault is built with an extensible architecture, allowing additional BI platforms to be integrated in the future.
VizVault leverages Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC) for its user interface and uses secure, standards-based APIs to connect with Tableau and Power BI. The application dynamically queries BI platforms using the authenticated user’s credentials to retrieve authorized dashboards. For Power BI, access control and report mappings are managed using Salesforce custom objects. VizVault’s architecture supports custom integrations through Salesforce APIs and is designed for scalability, enabling reliable performance across large datasets and multiple BI platforms.
